Senua's Saga: Hellblade, the newest action adventure from Ninja Theory, features just a handful of types of puzzles, but all of them are well-made and add to the diversity of the gameplay.
The rune puzzles are the ones already seen in the first game, but they were too good to be excluded from the sequel. After the tutorial rune puzzle that is an easy one to solve, you'll come across the one inside the dead settlement that can be a bit challenging, to be honest.
If you're finding this puzzle too difficult to solve, we've created a guide that will lead you step-by-step towards solving it without any problems.
The dead settlement rune puzzle solution
Once you enter the dead settlement, against Thórgestr's warnings not to do so, make your way all the way to the willage gate, where the rune lock will appear. Hit the focus to start the puzzle-solving and turn 180 degrees.
Follow the path around the first hut to the right, enter it, and climb the ladder inside it. Once on the small balcony, look to the left; your gamepad will vibrate, which means you're in the right spot. Hit the focus again to align the sign, and that's it; the first one is done.
Return to the gate and follow the street opposite of it. At the end of the street, you'll find another sign. Do the same drill as before and activate it.
The last one is the trickiest. Turn around towards the gate and enter the second hut to the right. Pass through it and enter the next hut on the hill. Pass through this one as well, following the path over a wooden construction, dropping down the ledge, and at the end of this path lies the last sign. Activate it and return to the gate. After it, the cutscene will commence, marking the end of this puzzle.
