Making your own character is a feature in many RPGs, and Nioh 3 isn't an exception. However, once you create your character, it is possible to recustomise it. Here is how and where to do it.

Character creation is a feature almost all RPGs have, and many action RPGs as well, including the latest one from Team Ninja, Nioh 3. At the beginning of the game, you'll be given an option to create your own character using a very robust and rich tool full of many sliders and options.

Once you finish making your own character, you'll be dropped into action, and you might think that will be the character you will stick with for the rest of the game, but that's not entirely true.

At some point in the game, you'll be given the option to completely recustomise your character, and not just that; from that point on, you'll be able to do it as many times as you like, without a single cost.

Where to Recustomise Your Character

For that to happen, you'll have to wait for a bit until you free Hamamatsu Castle Keep from the yokai. Once you do that, you'll meet an NPC who will gift you a very special mirror. Using this mirror will transfer you to Eternal Rift, a very special place that serves as this game's base of operation.

You'll be able to fast travel there any time you want by opening the map and pressing L3 (PS5 controller). Once inside the Eternal Rift, you'll notice two buildings next to each other on one side of the pond and one building with a large stamp inside it on the opposite side.

Enter the building with the stamp and go upstairs. There, you'll meet Saito Fuku, a lady that will offer to teach you the Onmyo magic ways, and just behind her, in the next room, you'll find a mirror. If you interact with it, you'll be given the option to fully recustomise your character.

How to Change Appearance

Interact with the mirror in the room we've mentioned, and the game will give you three options: to change appearance, to change the appearance of your equipment, and to transform the look of another character.

The first option, changing appearance, works exactly like the character creator, with all the options available for recustomising your character. Changing the appearance of equipment simply gives the appearance of other pieces of weapons and armour to the ones whose stats suit you better, but the looks of other equipment seem more attractive to you.

Transforming appearance doesn't work yet, because the game isn't fully unlocked online, but once it is, you'll be able to transfer the looks of other characters you like, or the ones you created before.
