At the game's beginning, your inventory will contain three Pulse Cells, and as you advance through the game, opportunities will arise to increase this quantity.

How to increase the number of healing items (Pulse Cells)
The initial upgrade for Pulse Cells will automatically be obtained through a specific story-related mission early in the game, making it unmissable. By the time you exit the Hotel Krat for the first time, you'll already have one additional healing item in your inventory.
For additional upgrades beyond this point, you'll need to acquire them within the game. Specifically, they can be purchased through the P-Organ, a device accessible after liberating Geppetto.
The initial upgrade can be found in the first phase of the P-Organ, while the second upgrade is located in the second phase. To activate each of these upgrades, you'll need two Quartzes. Since the second upgrade is situated in the second phase, and unlocking this phase necessitates four Quartz, you'll need a total of six Quartz for the second upgrade, which grants you the sixth Pulse Cell.
The seventh Pulse Cell can be located in the third section of the P-Organ. However, to access it, you'll only require one Quartz, as it is found within a subcategory. Within the third stage of the P-Organ, you'll also have the opportunity to unlock a special option designed to enhance the functionality of the Pulse Cells.
Since the P-Organ comprises a total of five stages, it's quite likely that additional Pulse Cell upgrades are concealed in the subsequent stages. However, at the moment, we've only managed to unlock the third stage, so we're uncertain about what lies ahead in the remaining stages.
