Certainly, one of the bosses that will likely pose a formidable challenge is the Eldest of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood. This boss awaits you at the conclusion of the Malum District level in Lies of P.
The formidable nature of this battle becomes evident right from the start. While we can't guarantee an easy victory with these tips, following them will certainly enhance your chances of ultimately triumphing in this fight. So, let's dive in.
How to beat Eldest of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood boss
Let's address this upfront: the boss's difficulty level is exceptionally high. What makes this challenge even more daunting is the fact that you'll simultaneously contend with not only the main boss but also three mini-bosses. However, by adhering to this strategy, you might be able to avoid confronting them all at the same time.
Before stepping into the arena, be sure to activate the spectre. If you're concerned about lacking star fragments, you can easily acquire them by defeating enemies in this level before confronting the boss. As you enter the arena, the boss will immediately launch an attack on you. Your aim should be to draw his attention away from you and onto the spectre. Once he shifts his focus, approach him cautiously. However, ensure that your strikes come from the side, as hitting him from behind will expose you to his sword attacks.
As soon as the first sibling enters the arena, shift your attention towards him or her; we really don't know if it's brother or sister. The longer your spectre remains in play, the higher your chances of success. Dealing with the initial mini-boss is relatively straightforward and can be done with ease. If the spectre is still active and drawing the mini-boss's attention, you can sneak up from behind and execute a Fatal Attack on him.
The critical point to remember here is not to engage the main boss while a mini-boss is present in the arena. Attacking the main boss excessively will prompt the appearance of the second, third, and eventually the fourth brothers. The optimal strategy is to focus solely on eliminating any brother who enters the fight, ensuring that only one of them is present in the arena at any given time.
Once you've successfully managed to eliminate all but the eldest brother with the massive sword, you'll be facing the most challenging part of the battle. This formidable adversary wields a sword that covers a significant portion of the arena with its overhead strikes. The most effective strategy against him is as follows:
Make sure you are well stacked up on throwables, which you can buy from the vendor in Red Lobster Inn, ensuring they are distributed between both your Upper and Lower Belts. When you find yourself alone with the main boss, maintain a safe distance and pelt him with these throwables. With a bit of luck, you may even stagger him. If you notice his health turning white, reserve the Shot Put throwable for the final phase, as it can induce a staggering effect. By following this approach, you can increase your chances of successfully dealing with the Rabbit Brothers.
