At the end of the Barren Swamp level, one very formidable, two-phased boss awaits you, and let us tell you right now that this battle won't be easy at all, and every piece of help will be very useful.

How to beat Puppet-Devouring Green Monster boss
This boss battle is divided into two phases: the initial phase, where the boss appears as a solitary green monster, and the subsequent phase, where it fuses with a nearby puppet, transforming into a formidable and agile killing machine.
The initial stage is relatively manageable, with the boss possessing a limited array of attacks that are generally straightforward to dodge or block, except for a few more powerful strikes. During this first phase, it's crucial that you capitalise on the moments when the boss is focused on the spectre. In these instances, positioning yourself behind the boss's rear and launching your attacks proves to be a safe and effective tactic.
Weapon selection plays a significant role in this encounter. As illustrated in the video, we chose the Salamander Dagger in combination with the Acidic Crystal Spear Handle. This pairing offers several advantages: quick attacks that consume minimal stamina and inflict fire damage, which exploits the boss's vulnerability in both phases. The only drawback of this weapon is its limited durability, so it's advisable to have at least one Venigni's Urgent Repair Tool on hand for the fight, as it will be necessary.
Throwables, particularly during the second phase, prove to be highly valuable. In particular, the Shot Put can be instrumental in staggering the boss from a distance, as can be seen in the video.
Preserving the spectre alive for as long as possible is of paramount importance, as it serves as a valuable diversion while you engage the boss from a distance. During the second phase, it's crucial to maintain a safe distance, and if your spectre sustains injuries, confront the boss while relying on dodges rather than blocking. In this phase, the boss's attacks are exceptionally potent and can result in swift defeat if blocked.
