Season 11 has officially started as Patch 11.1 joined the live servers and there are some interesting changes for the mid lane position. The recent changes to Pantheon and Anivia have made them S tier picks for this role.
League of Legends lead gameplay designer, Riot Scruffy revealed the upcoming changes for the first patch of the new season - 11.1. There will be some interesting changes that will especially affect the mid lane position. That's why we have prepared a list of champions you should play in this role.
- S TIER:
- Anivia
- Viktor
- Fizz
- Vel'Koz
- Pantheon
After the most recent mini-rework, Anivia has become one of if not the strongest mid-lane champions at moment. It has been a long time since we've seen a classic mage like her dominate this role as much as she does right now. Despite her dominance, Riot didn't mention any nerfs coming her way in patch 11.1 and that's why she remains in the S tier.
Riot has finally managed to balance Pantheon in a way that he doesn't get picked in the support role anymore. This has resulted in a high win rate both in both of the solo lanes. Once you get a hang of his abilities, he becomes very easy to play and offers very little counterplay.
- A TIER:
- Zed
- Akali
- Ekko
- Annie
- Katarina
- Malphite
- Galio
- Seraphine
- Yone
- Taliyah
Many thought that the removal of the item Hextech Gunblade would put the Akali out of the meta. However, all the healing she can get in combination with the burst while being able to hide in her Shroud (W), has made her one of the strongest champions in the game.
- B TIER:
- Yasuo
- Diana
- Malzahar
- Vladimir
- Brand
- LeBlanc
- Sylas
- Neeko
- Lux
- Swain
- Ahri
- Talon
- Irelia
- Kassadin
Both Yasuo and Yone will get a crit adjustment - passive crit bonus will get changed from 100 to 150 per cent; crit conversion will get changed from 0.5 per crit chance to 0.4 AD per crit chance percentage
- C TIER:
- Morgana
- Zoe
- Orianna
- Lissandra
- Xerath
- Mordekaiser
- Pyke
- Qiyana
- Ziggs
- Aurelion Sol
- Azir
- Veigar
- Syndra
- Karma
