Riot Games has given players the opportunity to unlock League of Legends' newest champion, Mel Medarda, for free; here's everything one needs to know for claiming her without using in-game currency.
League of Legends boasts 170 exclusive champions, with a pool of special abilities. League of Legends continually comes up with new champions each year, thus coming up with Mel Medarda, Riot's first champion in 2025, which was brought out in Patch 25.S1.2.
Mel Medarda, the daughter of the 169th champion Ambessa Medarda, first arrived on our screens in Arcane Season 1 that came out in November 2021. She had a crucial role there, and her last scene was in Season 2, in which she was going back to Noxus. Since the theme of 2025 is about Noxus, well. Mel came out as a new champion.
How to get Mel Medarda
Mel was made available to players through Patch 25.S1.2, and Riot's also providing her Champion Permanent for free to whoever completes certain missions-a great way to unlock her without wasting a single Blue Essence or RP.
In order to rescue Mel, players are supposed to complete the Act 1 Battle Pass by doing random Acts of The Soul's Reflection.
This will require a value of delivering 50,000 magic damage to enemy champions and stopping 10,000 damage from happening on allies due to shields.
Completing these requirements will award Mel's Champion Permanent and 750 Battle Pass experience points to the player.
Ensure that you take this offer and include Mel Medarda on your roster. Complete the mission before the end date expires.
