Layers of Fear, the latest psychological horror adventure from Bloober Team, is a game that will test your fear resilience and also your puzzle-solving abilities.
One of the first little puzzles, or more like go-and-fetch mechanics, to be solved will be presented to you at the very beginning of the game, or during the second level, to be exact, where you will be prompted to enter the workshop, but the door to the workshop will be locked.
There will be a note on the door as well with the general whereabouts of the key for the workshop, so if you are having trouble locating this key, consult our guide.
Where is the key to the workshop?
Once you read the note on the door saying that the key will be located in the office, turn around and go upstairs to your left. After you climb the stairs, enter the room on your left.
Notice the spooky portrait located at the end of the room; this is where you must go. Beneath the portrait is the work desk with some notes and a detached phone headset. Position yourself beneath the portrait and in front of the desk; there will be an opened drawer on the left side of the desk with an opened jewellery box inside it. The key is located inside the jewellery box.
Take the key and head back to the locked door to unlock it and continue your haunted lighthouse adventure. Keep in mind, however, that you must use the handle on the door twice: once to unlock the door and again to pull it open.
