Gangs of Sherwood, Nacon's newest co-op action adventure, places a strong emphasis on straightforward mechanics, with a focus on tonnes of fun and everlasting action.
The game is designed for you to choose missions from Major Oak, the game's hub area, and then follow a predominantly linear path to complete them. However, sporadically, a handful of sidequests emerge, offering extra XP as rewards. Yet, the structure of these sidequests can be somewhat perplexing.
If you do not know how to activate and resolve sidequests, the solution is provided in the following guide.
How to activate and solve sidequests in Gangs of Sherwood
While undertaking missions, you'll encounter NPCs marked by an exclamation mark above their heads, often signalling their attempt to grab your attention with a wave. Approach these NPCs and press the action key to initiate a conversation. It's important to note that you need to press the action key a second time to commence the side quest-solving process.
Despite having initiated a conversation with the NPC during the mission, the side quest won't activate until you finish the mission and return to Major Oak. Locate the NPC there and engage in another conversation. Following this dialogue, a prompt will appear on the screen indicating that the side quest is now active.
Depending on the nature of the side quest, you'll address it during missions. For instance, if the task involves defeating a specific number of special enemies, you'll receive updates on your progress as you advance through the side quest.
When you fulfil the side quest's requirements, upon returning to Major Oak, engage in another conversation with the side quest giver to officially complete the task. Solving all sidequests will reward you with the "Gangs of Humanity" trophy/achievement.
