Gangs of Sherwood, Nacon's newest co-op action adventure, is characterised by its dynamic and adrenaline-pumping combat, featuring explosive encounters with a multitude of enemies.
While the game does not include some complex mechanics, Gangs of Sherwood introduces a potentially confusing element—the artefacts and the slots in which they are put. These artefacts, discovered during each mission, provide perks that can enrich the quality of your gameplay and add some extra abilities.
However, once you find the chest containing one of those artefacts, how to use them automatically becomes a huge mystery. In this guide, we intend to solve this mystery and show you how to use those artefacts.
How to increase the number of artefact slots in Gangs of Sherwood
To make it clear from the beginning, once you discover and allocate the first artefact to a slot, you cannot interchange it with other artefacts until either the mission concludes or you use it. The only way to incorporate more than one artefact is by expanding the artefact slots.
To increase your slots, you must attain the fifth rank for your character. Progressing through missions and completing sidequests will help you achieve this rank. Once you reach rank five, locate the combat trainer, Antonna Carridge, within the hub area. With approximately 8000 coins in hand, navigate to the second tab under Artefacts and purchase a new slot. To unlock the other three slots, you will have to wait for your character to rank up even further. Once your character ranks up enough, you will be informed by the game.
With the expanded slots, you can now equip two artefacts during missions. However, it's crucial to note that once an artefact is placed in a slot, it cannot be swapped. Therefore, it's essential to carefully consider which artefacts best align with your play style before making a choice.
