If you've been looking to get yourself this iconic weapon, then we are here to help you on your quest. Finding the Greatsword in Elden Ring is not quite straightforward, especially if you waste your time looking in the wrong places but with this guide, you'll have one on your back in no time.
Where to find the Greatsword in Elden Ring?
1. First, head to the Caelid region, which is Northeast of the starting area Limgrave. To get there, you'll need to pass the gate at Gatefront Ruins, head uphill and take the first road right. Follow the road towards the river and a bridge (check your map from time to time to make sure you're on the right road).
2. Once you pass the bridge, follow the road to reach Caelid. Once you're there, follow the road a little bit more before you reach the carriage surrounded by dangerous beasts. The Greatsword will be in the chest at the back of the carriage.
3. We recommend that you first clear out the beasts since you'll die pretty quickly if they spot you while you're opening the chest.
And that's it! Now you have a cool, badass Greatsword ready to slay some foes. The greatsword is a great choice if you're going for a Strength build. Finding it this early in the game also means you can start upgrading the sword earlier. It's a win-win and the trip to Caelid is definitely worth it!
