As ARC Raiders is an extraction shooter, looting and crafting with materials is a major part of the game's progression. After crafting different items, you can take them with you to the topside to make your adventure a lot easier. The more you progress to the endgame stage, eliminating large ARCs will become a central focus of the game's PvE and PvP aspects. To take out these ARCs, you will need explosives like the Wolfpack and Trailblazer grenades.

Why Do You Need Oil in ARC Raiders?
Oil is an essential item that is required for crafting items like the Wolfpack. Moreover, it is the sole component required for crafting Explosive Compound, which is an ingredient for Wolfpack grenades. Here's a list of items that require Oil for crafting and maintenance:

How to Get Oil in ARC Raiders
Steel springs is a crafting resource that falls under the mechanical category. You'll find oil in all POIs marked with the mechanical tag. Aside from that, you can also get oil by recycling or salvaging some items you find during your raid. Here's a list of items you should salvage to get oil:
- Blaze Grenade
- Coolant
- Explosive Mine
- Heavy Fuze Grenade
- Motor
- Polluted Air Filter
- Synthesised Fuel
- Turbo Pump
- Water Pump
You can find oil in the bonnet of cars and the trunk of buses in all maps. Aside from that, you can also find oil laid out as ground loot on desks and in red car toolboxes. The best place for farming oil is near the Highway Collapse and Checkpoint POIs of Blue Gate. Both of these landmarks have a high concentration of cars, making them the effective place for farming a stack of oil in no time.
