Uplay store listing revealed a detailed description of The Division 2's Year 1 pass, which will grant instant access to endgame specialisations and 7-day early access to all Year 1 episodes along with eight classified assignments.

Ubisoft's The Division 2 is just around the corner and until now, little has been known about the looter shooter's post-launch content.

However, the latest listing on the Ubisoft store reveals what type of bonus content is the publisher planning for Year 1 owners. This may sound confusing as Ubisoft confirmed on E3 2018 that all DLCs and raids will be free in The Division 2. This is still the case and DLCs and raids won't be a part of Ubisoft's paid Year 1 pass offering.

Instead, the publisher is following a similar model, seen in their other titles such as Rainbow Six Siege or For Honor. The pass offers one-week early access to all Year 1 episodes, which is the free DLC, grants instant access to endgame specialisations "as they release" and finally, includes eight classified assignments, which could be some type of endgame challenges that reward players with classified gear.

The specialisations look a lot like the operator unlock model from Rainbow Six Siege, where season pass owners get to play with new operators one week early before they release for non-season pass owners.

This also confirms that The Division 2 will have more than three specialisations and it's possible that they will be locked to a character once you activate them.

Of course, Ubisoft did not officially talk about this just yet, but piecing the clues together, it's not hard to see what they're aiming at here.

For those unfamiliar with the unlock system, many Rainbow Six Siege players have been praising it as a perfect balance that gives everyone a fair chance to unlock and play with new operators without spending a dime.

The Division 2 Year 1 pass also includes exclusive cosmetics and additional in-game activities which could be monthly supply drops.
