EA DICE have made a rather convoluted schedule for the release of Battlefield V on different platforms for PC and Xbox One. PlayStation 4 players dodged a bullet here as they don't have to bother with any of this early access nonsense.
EA have apparently decided to make a mess with Battlefield V, not only through marketing campaign, but also through different release dates. They have even released a guide on when and how to get access.
According to the guide, users who subscribe to Origin Access Premier or Origin Access on PC will get to taste Battlefield V first, on 09 November 2018. Xbox One players will be able to access the game on the same day, provided they are subscribed to EA Access. Only Origin Access Premier offers full game access though, as the other options will let players only play the 10 hour long trial.
Bear in mind that Origin Access Premier, Origin Access and EA Access subscribers get access to the game only as long as the subscription lasts. Those who purchase the Battlefield V standard edition will get to play it on 20 November 2018 while those who purchase the deluxe edition will get a slightly early access, on 15 November 2018.
Needless to say, incentives for the subscription services are obvious here, but it remains to be seen whether it will be a good move for EA since it might also mean fewer players on the servers. The company might be hoping this will be offset a bit by additional incentives that the Premier subscribers will get, such as the Digital Deluxe bonuses.
These include five sets of paratrooper outfits, a chance to play Special Assignments and Starter Assignments for additional rewards, 20 weekly airlifts with supplies and customisation items, the Firestorm ranger set, one additional Special Soldier set and access to Battlefield 1 weapons.
In other words, there are plenty of digital incentives to pre-order Digital Deluxe and even more to subscribe to Origin Access Premier. Since we at AltChar strongly oppose pre-orders, we would suggest you first verify whether you like the game enough in order to commit your funds and time to it, before jumping head first into Battlefield V's digital incentives.
