Total War: Warhammer 2 Skaven DLC teased

Creative Assembly have teased the upcoming Skaven DLC for Total War: Warhammer 2. While the update doesn't directly mention or confirm the DLC, the developers wording clearly suggest at the Skaven faction. It won't be out soon though.

Total War: Warhammer 2 Festag update is live

Total War: Warhammer 2 The Festag Update brings major changes to the Lords and Legendary Lords of the Old World which will now have red skill trees. The developers also included numerous tweaks to the existing skills, traits and abilities.

Anno 1800 has been delayed to April

Anno 1800's release date has been pushed back to 16 April 2019. This has now been confirmed by Ubisoft. Blue Byte's real-time strategy was originally scheduled for a February 2019 release but it needs additional polishing and tuning.

DeepMind AI beat two pros in StarCraft 2

We've already reported on the DeepMind AI team, whose demonstration included pitting their AI called AlphaStar against seasoned StarCraft 2 pros and as it turns out, their digital opponent not only won, it did so by 5:0 in two matches.

Westworld closing down after Bethesda lawsuit

Warner Bros. Interactive decided to shut down their Westworld mobile game just a few weeks after they reached an agreement with Bethesda in the 'Fallout Shelter rip-off' lawsuit. The game will officially shut down on 16 March 2019.

Pablo Escobar of the ancient gold trade, the man whose exploits should've changed his name to the Goldfather, is making a return in Civilization VI: Gathering Storm as the leader of Mali, having skipped appearing in the earlier instalment.

Tropico 6 release date pushed back to March

Kalypso Media have delayed Tropico 6 once again and this time around it's for an additional two months. The new release date is 29 March 2019 and the delay has apparently been caused by troubling feedback following closed beta testing.

Robot Entertainment have come out with some sad news for their fans as Orcs Must Die! Unchained, Hero Academy and Hero Academy 2 will be shutting their doors come 08 April 2018, as neither of the games attracted a large enough playerbase.

Hungary in Civilization VI: Gathering Storm

Hungary becomes the first officially announced new Civ for the Civilization VI: Gathering Storm expansion. Primarily focused on production and military power, it's led by Matthias Corvinus and will be strong for the new Diplomacy victory

Creative Assembly have just announced that Total War: Arena will be shutting its doors for good after just one year on the market, having failed to fulfill the company's expectations. There's free gifts involved too, if you're interested.

Mutant Year Zero system requirements revealed

Funcom have revealed the official system requirements for the upcoming tactical adventure game Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. For those who don't meet the minimum requirements, Funcom said that "it's probably time for an upgrade."

Blizzard: We have no plans for Warcraft 4

Speaking in a recent interview, Blizzard's senior producer Pete Stilwell said that there are no plans for Warcraft 4 at the moment, seeing as how the company currently have their hands full with all the work around Warcraft 3: Reforged.

Warcraft 3 remaster is coming in 2019

Blizzard have announced Warcraft 3: Reforged, which is a refreshed version of Warcraft 3. Simply calling it a remaster would not do the project justice, as it brings new models, textures, SFX, VFX and animations all in one package.

Phoenix Point trailer teases mutating aliens

Phoenix Point is an early access title from Snapshot Games, a studio founded by Julian Gollop, the creator of the beloved X-Com series. The trailer features pretty ghastly mutating monsters, boss battles and some strategic play as well.

HandyGames have rolled out a cinematic trailer for their upcoming adventure Through the Darkest of Times, which teases a disturbing World War II story along with some superb art style that's already done well to differentiate the game.

TotalBiscuit memorialised in Esports HoF

John "TotalBiscuit" Bain may be gone, but his legacy is far from it. The famous critic and journalist will be posthumously inducted into Esports Hall of Fame by ESL and paysafecard during ESL One that will be held in Hamburg, Germany.

C&C remasters will skip micro transactions

Speaking in a recent Reddit AMA, EA's producer Jim Vessella discussed the upcoming remasters of Command and Conquer games and how the uproar over mobile game Command and Conquer: Rivals returned the franchise back to its rightful PC roots.

Assassin's Creed: Rebellion coming to mobile

Ubisoft may have been extremely clear about no new Assassin's Creed for a while after Odyssey has launched, but we guess they didn't consider mobile as part of that deal because Assassin's Creed: Rebellion is coming soon to iOS and Android.

EA have announced remasters of classic Command & Conquer titles somewhat silently, with a single Reddit. These multiple remasters will be handled by none other than Jim Vessella, who also worked on Command & Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3.
