Microsoft have officially announced the Xbox Series X games showcase and the event starts on July 23, 2020, at 9am PT / 6pm CEST. And yes, Halo will be there.
The green team has already teased Halo Infinite, and so far it looks like the story will have to do with the Banished. No, not Mixer streamers, we mean the Halo Wars 2 faction, wink wink.
We still remember the promise that Halo will be getting its big moment on E3 2020, and with the event serving as a replacement - all eyes will be on 343 Industries.
That said, Halo Infinite is merely the tip of the iceberg here, and we're anxious to see what Microsoft have in store. Xbox Game Studios have bolstered their ranks with some big names and having 15 studios under your wing most definitely bodes well for Xbox Series X's future.
Speaking in a recent interview, Phil Spencer congratulated Sony on a great job they did on PS5 but added that he's confident in Microsoft's next-gen offerings, both on the hardware and software front.
"When I think about the position that we're in, with the games that we're going to be able to show and how they’re going to show up, and the hardware advantage that we have, I think we're in a very good position", he said.
Spencer also said that they've heard all the community complaints about the first demo and that they've taken the criticism on board, which is yet another reason to be excited and quite telling of the progress Microsoft have made in terms of communication. Xbox Series X is quite the beast and it's time to see what this baby can do.
