The world's largest collection of retro games is coming to Xbox for the first time ever, bringing classics like Space Invaders, Metal Slug and much more to the Series X/S and One consoles.

Antstream Arcade have today announced its launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. In case you're unfamiliar with Antstream Arcade, it's the world's largest collection of officially licensed retro games including titles like Space Invaders, Bubble Bobble and Metal Slug alongside 1300 other classics.

The collection even includes many PlayStation and Nintendo titles that will be playable for the first time ever on Xbox consoles. The pre-orders for Antstream Arcade will be available from today, July 14, 2023, while the official release is set for July 21. Antstream Arcade will cost  £/$/€29.99 annually or £/$/€79.99 for lifetime access. This price also includes all future games and features.

The platform brings an extensive catalogue of early Atari releases through Commodore, Sega, Nintendo and original PlayStation era games. All these titles will be available on Xbox consoles without installation or download. The publisher say that all games are carefully optimised through a rigorous quality control process to ensure that the gameplay is as devs intended. 

Another great feature of this retro games platform is the support for instant cloud game saves, online high scores and resume play features across multiple devices, which is something that Xbox fans will certainly appreciate.
