Reliable games industry insider Jeff Grubb speculates that Ninja Theory's action adventure Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 could be coming sometime during Holidays 2023.
One of the most exciting Xbox exclusives Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 could be released during the Holiday season of 2023, according to reliable games industry insider Jeff Grubb.
Grubb was a guest in the latest episode of The Xbox Two + 1 podcast , which is currently locked to patrons, and spoke about some upcoming Xbox first-party games and their potential release dates including Ninja Theory's action adventure Hellblade 2.
According to Jeff, Hellblade 2 could release at any point and be fine, suggesting that the game is in good shape. He added that the Holiday 2023 release window perhaps could be a realistic one. "Hellblade 2 can come out at any point it'll be fine, but that's the one I think could come out this holiday maybe," Grubb said.
If Hellblade 2 is indeed internally scheduled for release in late 2023, that would be quite the year for Xbox, who already released the amazing rhythm action game Hi-Fi Rush and have Redfall , Starfield and Forza Motorsport officially confirmed for 2023.
Quite the contrast from the disappointing 2022, where Obsidian Entertainment's masterpiece Pentiment was the only first-party release from Xbox.
Of course, you should always take rumours and leaks with a pinch of salt since this is unconfirmed information, even if it comes from trusted sources with a great track record like Grubb.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 currently does not have an official release date. The game was showcased with two stunning trailers so far with the most recent one revealing a first gameplay sequence and true next-gen visuals.
We expect to see more of Hellblade 2 during Xbox's big summer event, which is rumoured for June 2023.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is an Xbox ecosystem exclusive coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S via Game Pass.
