Focus Home Interactive have shared a new trailer for the upcoming zombie coop shooter World War Z. The trailer shows off PlayersVsPlayersVsZombies combat and teases more than five game modes. Still no release date in sight though.
The trailer reveals some multiplayer gameplay and teases five "unique" modes in which players will get to shoot brain-hungry zombies. The biggest introduction though is the PlayerVsPlayerVsZombie or PvPvZ mode, which just like the name suggest, pits two teams of four players, against each other while both sides try to survive the incoming zombie swarm.
The five modes which will be available in World War Z's multiplayer are Scavenge Raid, Vaccine Hunt, Swarm Deathmatch, Swarm Domination and King of the Hill.
In Scavenge Raid players will race to secure resources across the map to win, Vaccine Hunt requires picking up and holding an object to earn points for the team. The others are standard Domination, Deathmatch and King of the Hill modes which are pretty familiar to everyone who tested their skills in a multiplayer shooter game.
All the action see in World War Z trailer is happening on the snow-covered Moscow map which is one of the locations which will be available on launch. Other confirmed maps include New York and Jerusalem but the developers also promised more maps which are yet to be revealed.

Unfortunately, Focus Home Interactive once again stayed silent on the release date. The trailer description mentions that World War Z is "expected" to launch sometime in 2019 which doesn't really sound convincing and it is possible that we see a delay somewhere down the road.
Of course, there's nothing bad in delaying the game and taking more time to polish and improve the content. "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad" a Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto once said.
World War Z will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and it's an Epic Store exclusive on PC.
