Say hello and then promptly eliminate the new type of zombie in World War Z: Aftermath. The latest free update for the zombie kill-a-t(h)on also brings Daily Challenges and rare Lore Documents.

World War Z: Aftermath hit the live servers for PC, PS4 and Xbox One just last month and now the co-op zombie shooter got its free post-launch update. The update adds a brand-new zombie type and Daily Challenges. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (EGS and Steam) players can already download the update and folks with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X can take advantage of World War Z: Aftermath's backwards compatibility.

Booster zombie update details

The new update introduces a new zombie type: armed with concentrated biosamples, it has the power to enhance all zombies around it. The Booster zombie should occupy the number one spot on any player's hitlist.

Another novelty is the Daily Challenges system, added to give the community new opportunities to earn bonus in-game rewards each day.

Finally, the latest update introduces rare Lore Documents that can pop up on Daily and Weekly Challenge Maps. Locating all documents will unlock a special passive perk for that level, giving players new discoveries, experiences and rewards when replaying missions through all of the game’s zombie-ravaged locations.
