Kalypso Media's Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is coming to iPad and Android tablets later this year. The release will feature the original game along with the Heretek DLC.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is launching for iPad and Android tablets this year, announced Kalypso media. The adaptation of the game previously available for PC and consoles will be released as a premium title on April 22, 2021. The release will include the full original title and the Heretek DLC.
Players on iPad and Android will be able to command their Adeptus Mechanicus forces as they make their way across Silva Tenebris in search of ancient technologies hidden inside Necron tombs.
Stepping into the ceremonial robes of the Tech-priest Dominus Faustinius, players will be tasked with customizing their team by mixing and matching different troop types, disciplines and augments. From there, the Tech-priest Dominus Faustinius will control the squad's movements, actions and manage important resources.
As the players make their way across the Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus landscape, their skill and determination will be put to the test via a Xenos ambush. Each tomb Tech-priest Dominus Faustinius' squad explores will increase the threat as well as rewards.
Collecting in-game achievements will unlock important abilities that can be used once every mission to hopefully alter the course of the battle.
The Heretek DLC also adds five additional missions to the base game and sends the players deeper into the dark underbelly of the Adeptus Mechanicus faction as they face-off against the heretic Tech-Priests.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus' compelling story was written by Black Library author, Ben Counter.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus will march onto the Apple App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android as a premium game priced at £11.99 (€12.99 / $11.99) on April 22.
