Digital Extremes' free-to-play looter shooter Warframe will get the next-gen patch on Xbox Series X and Series S consoles in April 2021. The upgrade will be included in the upcoming Update 30.

Warframe is soon getting a next-gen patch on Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, Digital Extremes confirmed in the latest live stream. The free-to-play looter shooter is getting a major update next month, which brings new content and the devs will use the opportunity to also launch the next-gen patch for Xbox consoles.

"April is also our launch month for the next-generation Xbox build of Warframe that will include update 30," the devs said in the latest developer live stream.

The devs also confirmed that players on Xbox Series X and Series S will have to redownload the game once the patch arrives. As for the PlayStation 5 version, Digital Extremes have a couple of improvements that the owners of Sony's console will certainly appreciate - loading times should be reduced by 50 per cent.
