In the wake of Metal Gear Solid 3 remake rumours, Virtuous Studio employee has confirmed via LinkedIn that the studio are indeed working on "AAA remake" project.
Earlier this month, rumours about Konami's upcoming projects surfaced online. Apparently, the Japanese publisher are ramping up their premium game development and also have several remakes in the works, including Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater remake at Virtuous Studio, developers behind Dark Souls: Remastered Switch port.
Today, we pretty much have a confirmation that Virtuous Studio have an AAA remake project in the works, thanks to a LinkedIn profile of Virtuous Lead Software Engineer Zhiyang Li.
Li's work experience includes "unannounced 3A Action-Adventure game remake", which suggests that Virtuous Studio are indeed the studio behind Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake.
Additionally, the description states that Li provided work on AAA quality level art production and worked on upgrades for the engine to support 4K resolution on certain platforms.
Other than that, there is additional information, at least not those that would give us more clues that this is indeed Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake.
While this is pretty solid proof that Virtuos could be working on the game, we suggest you don't take it as a confirmation since this is far from official info. Until Konami or Virtuos drop the trailer or announcement, this is just a rumour and nothing more.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is reportedly just one of Konami's upcoming projects. The publisher also reportedly work on new Silent Hill and Castlevania games. More about that in our earlier coverage.
