EA Sport's football simulation FIFA 20 and Infinity Ward's shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are placed first and second respectively on UK physical sales charts for the week ending on 30 November 2019.-
As the whole Black Friday is finally in our rear mirror, it's time to take a look at some of the best selling titles in the UK. Activision, Microsoft and EA were the biggest winners as their titles managed to take the first three spots on UKIE/GfK Top Ten chart.
As expected, FIFA 20 is on top as the best-selling game of the week, just like its predecessor FIFA 19 the year prior. EA and Sony offered PS4 bundles and big discount which increased FIFA 20 sales 226 per cent week-on-week.
EA's action-adventure Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order dropped one place on the list but still managed to record an increase of 32 per cent week-on-week.
Another big Black Friday winner is Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Just like FIFA 20, Modern Warfare also bundled with PS4 consoles which pushed the game to No.2 with sales up 86 per cent.
Hardware bundles played a very big part in the Black Friday sales. Microsoft bundled their swashbuckling adventure Sea of Thieves with Xbox One to push the game to No4. Xbox One S All-Digital console was on sale for £110 to £140 during Black Friday, and with Sea of Thieves bundled, it was a no-brainer for many consumers.
Here is the full UKIE/GfK Top Ten for the week ending on 30 November 2019. Keep in mind that the list only includes physical sales, not digital, which can be a bit misleading since most of the game purchases are digital in today's day and age.
