Ubisoft's latest patch for Assassin's Creed Odyssey is adding a new cut scene and tweaked dialogue choices to the controversial Episode 2 ending. The new patch also adds new game plus, new ship, mercenary tiers and 22 additional viewpoints.
The long-awaited patch for Assassin's Creed Odyssey is finally landing today and it brings numerous tweaks, bug fixes and a couple of new features.
In addition to this, Ubisoft also worked on a Shadow Heritage quest ending which caused a bit of controversy a couple of weeks ago.
For those unfamiliar with the situation, Assassin's Creed Odyssey offers a couple of romance options and players can choose their character's sexual orientation.
The problem occurred when Shadow Heritage quest ending put this particular feature aside and forced players' characters into a specific relationship option.
Ubisoft promised to adjust the ending after the controversy, saying that they will add a new option to keep the relationship non-romantic.
Well, they've done it with the new patch which lands today - 26 February 2019. According to the official patch notes, Ubisoft introduced "adjusted cutscene" and "tweaked dialogue" so players can choose the option they prefer.
Ubisoft also confirmed that they will change the name of the trophy that is awarded once you finish the quest. We won't go into much detail here, as the trophy is one big spoiler for the quest ending.
However, the patch doesn't mention if players who already finished the quest will be able to run it again and choose their prefered option.
Furthermore, the 1.1.4 patch introduces new game plus mode which can be started once you complete the Family Quest Line. The new mode will allow you to start a new game with all gear, progression, upgrades and money which you earned in your previous playthrough.
The new level cap is increased to 99, and there are also new tiers for ships and mercenaries as well as new 22 new viewpoints that can be unlocked for fast travel.
