EA, ELEAGUE and Buzzfeed Multiplayer are bringing the fans of The Sims a reality competition series. The series will have four episodes which will air in July and August.
EA have partnered up with ELEAGUE and Buzzfeed Multiplayer to bring us a reality competition series centred on EA’s popular life simulation franchise - The Sims.
The competition is titled The Sims Spark’d and it will give its contestants creative challenges to build the most unique characters, worlds and stories, all told through The Sims 4.
The Sims Spark’d presented by ELEAGUE will debut Friday, July 17, at 11 p.m. ET/PT on TBS. Episodes will continue to premiere weekly on Fridays (July 17, 24, 31 and August 7) at 11 p.m. on TBS.
Encore telecasts will air on Saturdays (July 18, 25 and Aug. 1, 8) at 8 a.m. on the network.
BuzzFeed Multiplayer will be streaming each The Sims Spark’d episode on Monday after it is televised (July 20, 27 and Aug. 3, 10).
The Sims Spark’d is a four-episode series where the players will compete in both skill and elimination challenges. The winner will walk away with $100,000.
Former American Idol finalist, Rayvon Owen will be the show's host. Joining Rayvon will be the three judges:
- BuzzFeed Multiplayer YouTube personality - Kelsey (we stan) Impicciche.
- Singer-songwriter - Tayla Parx.
- Maxis game developer - Dave Miotke.
The 12 contestants and other online personalities will be fully revealed throughout the first episode.
A series of in-game challenges in The Sims 4 called the Spark’d Challenge Program will start on Friday, July 17. The in-game challenges will give the top creators a chance to be considered for a future season of The Sims Spark’d.
