EA have released a trailer for The Sims 4's latest expansion pack, Snowy Escape, and as the name suggests, it's all about winter activities in snowy settings. Winter is coming.

"Experience the chilly thrills of mountain life in The Sims™ 4 Snowy Escape Expansion Pack!* Start planning your escape with snow sports, hot springs, and more now", EA wrote.

The Sims 4: Snowy Escape pack launches on November 13, 2020, and brings all sorts of activities, starting with some extreme sports. Players can ski downhill, snowboard, or even join other Sims on sleds.

As you can see on the trailer, it's not just about going downhill - you can try your skills in rock climbing or just go and conquer the peak.

If you're not an extreme sports type of guy/gal, The Sims 4: Snowy Escape has some zen-building stuff as well, starting with the natural hot springs. Hang around a hot pot and the kotatsu table, or socialise with other Sims while hiking through bamboo forests.

The Sims 4: Snowy Escape adds a bunch of traditional as well as modern Japanese furniture and decor. From shoji doors, and different windows and screens, the influences are pretty clear. Lit with a soft glow of paper lanterns, the expansion really takes its zen seriously.

The Sims 4: Snowy Escape also introduces two new personality and relationship effects - Lifestyles and Sentiments.

"Lifestyles manifest in response to your Sim's actions and habits, changing their behaviours appropriately. Similarly, shared experiences inspire Sentiments and have a lasting impact on Sims' relationships to each other, affecting their social interactions", EA wrote.
