The Sims 4 is getting back to nature and far away from the hustle and bustle of San Myshuno and Del Sol Valley in the new cottagecore-inspired expansion pack - Cottage Living.
People across the globe have been going the Taylor Swift route and adopting the Cottagecore lifestyle. The emergence of a new trend has not escaped the ever-watchful eye of EA's dev team responsible for crafting new content packs for The Sims 4.
The latest in a long line of new DLC packs for the life simulator, The Sims 4 Cottage Living recently received a shiny new reveal trailer and will be officially released on July 22.
Cottage Living will add a new town to the game: Henford-on-Bagley, where animals and gardening are all the rage.
Henford-on-Bagley is a quiet, small town with a new pub called The Gnome's Arms and a bunch of new grocery options for those who like their produce organic.
The town will have a recurring event called the Finchwick Fair that will the town's mayor judge the competition entries: from pies to vegetables and chickens.
In addition to Sims' cats and dogs, the players will be able to take care of cows, llamas, chickens, bunnies, and foxes. Animals in different moods will produce different milk or yield varying shades of wool.
The gree thumbs of Sims will get to play with a new variety of gardening patches that will be the perfect home for some oversized crops. Giant watermelons, aubergines, pumpkins, mushrooms, and lettuce are all fair game.
The Simple Living Lot Challenge will decrease the number of Simoleons your Sim's meals will deduct from the household budget, but there's a catch: your recipes will depend entirely on what you’ve got in your inventory.
Some new dishes, such as Yorkshire pudding and beef wellington will also be added.
Preorders for The Sims 4 Cottage Living Expansion Pack are now live. The expansion pack launches on July 22 at 18:00 BST (10:00 a.m. PT) for Mac/PC on Origin and Steam, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
