We're not sure whether the thought of knitting makes you jump out of your chair, but by the time you've watched The Sims 4's trailer for the Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack - it will.
We weren't overly ecstatic about replacing our grandmas in the knitting chair either but The Sims 4 has a way of changing one's mind.
Nifty Knitting allows everyone from elders to children to take part in the fun, and you can dress up the entire family with your masterpieces. You can knit plant hangers, rugs, all sorts of clothing with varying degrees of silliness, and even toys.
The Sims 4 lets you monetise your skill, so hopping onto Plopsy lets you buy or sell various knitted items. "List or buy everything from socks to sweaters to paintings and woodworking projects. For a small fee, you can find the perfect buyer to make the most profit, then send it off via your mailbox. Voila! Extra cash and more space for new projects", EA wrote.
And should you become a master knitter and wish to immortalise your The Sims 4 legacy - you can pass it along and teach other Sims.
What would knitting be without a rocking chair, and this does put a different sort of spin on the phrase 'get ready to rock'. As part of Nifty Knitting, EA introduced four new rocking chair variants where you can chill, knit, nap or read a book.
The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack adds a new Reminiscence interaction to the elder Sims, which seems perfect for the theme of the DLC.
As for the release, The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack launches on July 28, 2020, for all platforms.
