BioWare have officially confirmed they will offer an early look at their next Dragon Age adventure during the upcoming The Game Awards Show, which is scheduled for December 10, 2020.
The next Dragon Age game has been in development for quite some time now but sadly, Bioware are yet to show us the world they've been creating in the last couple of years. The official announcement trailer is expected very soon, though, the developer have confirmed via Twitter.
First details about the next Dragon Age game will be shared in just a couple of days at The Game Awards 2020 show, which officially kicks off on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Here's Bioware's announcement:
"Dragon Age fans, we have exciting news! Get an early look at BioWare’s next Dragon Age adventure during The Game Awards.
The developer also shared a logo and an artwork fo the game, which features what appears to be a black dragon. Of course, it's hard to say what exactly Dragon Age 4 will be about story-wise, whether it's a brand new plot or Bioware plan to follow previous games.
If we had to guess, we would say this will be a fresh start for the series, especially since the last two games failed to reach the critical acclaim of Dragon Age: Origins - which is arguably one of the best tactical RPGs ever made.
We already know that players will take the role of "a nobody" in the next game. "We want to tell a story of what happens when you don't have power," Lead Writer Patrick Weekes said in
behind the scenes video
. "What happens when the people in charge aren't willing to address the issues."
