Resident Evil 3 Remake will not be revealed at The Game Awards it's been officially confirmed by the show's host Geoff Keighley who called the latest leaks completely wrong.
Earlier this week, Resident Evil 3 Remake game icon was leaked via PlayStation Store, starting a blizzard of rumours about a potential reveal at The Game Awards 2019. If you're one of those fans who got all excited you will be disappointed to hear that Resident Evil 3 Remake won't be revealed at The Game Awards 2019 show.
The show's producer, Geoff Keighley officially confirmed this in the latest AMA session on Reddit. When asked about the game and the potential reveal at the show, Keighley simply replied that most of the leaks about this year's The Game Awards are completely fake including the one about Resident Evil 3 Remake.
"There are no plans (never were) to do anything with Resident Evil 3 at the show. A lot of these ‘leaks’ are completely wrong. Nothing about our show has leaked as of this writing," Keighley said, putting all the rumours and leaks to bed.
Some also hinted that Jump Festa event in Japan could be another place to reveal Resident Evil 3 Remake but don't get your hopes up. The survival horror series is popular worldwide and it's safe to say that revealing the game at Jump Festa wouldn't get the attention that Capcom are certainly looking to get.
There's also the PlayStation State of Play which is coming soon and that could indeed be the place to reveal the game. Of course, this is just speculation since nothing is officially confirmed yet.
Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long for the reveal as Resident Evil 3 Remake is certainly one of the titles that got us excited. We quite enjoyed Resident Evil 2 Remake and if Capcom can pull off another remake of similar quality, it's safe to say that 2020 will be a good year for survival horror fans.
