The Division 2 open beta is officially live on all platforms and Ubisoft have shared a list of bug fixes and improvements that have been made since the closed beta. Enemy armour and damage has been nerfed while several guns received boosts.
The Division 2's open beta servers are now live on all platforms and those who preloaded the game can hop in immediately and start exploring the post-apocalyptic Washington DC. The open beta weights additional 12 GB on top of the original closed beta, and it includes which players didn't get to try before.
In addition to new content, the open beta also comes with numerous bug fixes, improvements and changes to enemies and weapons.
One of the most notable tweaks is certainly the increased ammo drop rate for signature weapons. Many players felt that signature weapons are not strong enough to justify the low ammo drop rates. That's why Ubisoft also worked on several adjustments to the power level and handling, but specific numbers are missing from the patch notes, so it's unknown how big these changes actually are.
Enemies also received a huge list of changes, most of them are nerfs to health, damage and armour of bosses and elites. Hyena faction NPCs that appear in the early game received a nerf to their accuracy. The elite version of Hyenas Rusher's stun baton has been greatly reduced and now has a cooldown so players can't get spammed by shock attacks.
There are additional changes to the enemies' behaviour. Now, enemy drones will explode once their owner is killed and the speed of the suicide drone has been reduced to give players more time to react.
Ubisoft also worked on some annoying technical issues. Some players reported crashes and errors which occurred when changing display mode from windowed to full screen. According to notes, this issue has been addressed along with the infinite looting bug that allowed players to loot Dark Zone Crates and Supply Drops indefinitely.
The open beta launch also brought some new issues which Ubisoft already addressed. These include DELTA-01 errors when logging into the game and missing NPCs in the first area of the game. The missing NPC issue requires re-login before the fix can be applied.
