Ubisoft released another live action trailer for The Division 2, and once again, it's helmed by Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn. Dubbed the Good Guy, the trailer follows a group of Division agents in their battle against enemy factions.
The Division 2's release date is just around the corner, and the publisher Ubisoft have released a couple of trailers in the last few days to celebrate the upcoming launch of their highly anticipated looter shooter.
One of the videos is another live-action trailer dubbed the Good Guy. You may remember that Ubisoft released a live-action trailer named Drawing , back in February 2019 and the Good Guy is a direct sequel, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn who also helmed the first one.
Winding Refn is known for his work on many critically acclaimed films such as Drive, Bronson and the Pusher series among others.
The new trailer once again focuses on a group of agents who embark on a mission to clear the post-apocalyptic streets of Washington DC from various enemy factions. Just like the first one, Good Guy is pretty atmospheric and it's shown almost entirely from a first-person perspective. Kinda odd as The Division 2 is a third-person shooter but the different perspective definitely helps with the overall atmosphere.
At the very end of the trailer, Ubisoft added some gameplay which shows a group of agents trying to liberate the White House before we get the usual "pre-order now" screen.
In other The Division 2 news, Ubisoft recently revealed a Year 1 roadmap and explained the game's monetisation and loot boxes. In short, they are aiming for Rainbow Six Siege model where Year 1 pass owners will get instant access to new character specialisations while those without the pass will have to earn them through various in-game activities.
The Division 2 launches on 15 March 2019 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
