After a small hint at the earnings call last week, Ubisoft have now officially announced that they will be releasing more content for their looter-shooter The Division 2 later this year.
"We are thrilled to confirm that were will be additional content for The Division 2 released later this year," the development team behind this looter shooter wrote at the beginning of their message. Although they did not state what exactly players can expect from the upcoming major update, it seems that this will be another Title Update.
Ubisoft confirmed that the new content is currently in the early development stage and it's expected sometime later in 2021.
"Some of you had noticed that Title Update 12 was originally meant to be the last major Title Update for The Division 2 but thanks to your continuous support, we are now in the early stages of development for fresh content to release later in 2021."
While The Division 2 fans will certainly be happy to hear that Ubisoft are still eager to expand the game, even after so many Title Updates, others would probably love to hear more about the publisher's plans for a potential third game in the series.
Ubisoft are yet to confirm that they are working on The Division 3 and it seems highly unlikely that such game exists, especially after the recent announcement of a Star Wars project, which is being developed by Massive Entertainment, who are already busy with Avatar game.
Perhaps, that's why Ubisoft are looking to extend the life of The Division 2 with some fresh content.
