Capcom will be releasing a remastered version of the Thailand Stage for PC and PlayStation 4 next week. In addition to the Stage, three new outfits for Ryu, Chun-Li, and Juri will also be available.
As promised at their WonderCon 2017 panel, Capcom is bringing back their iconic Thailand Stage. Street Fighter 5 will be getting the nostalgic DLC next week. A remastered version of the Thailand Stage for PC and PlayStation 4, together with some new school costumes for Ryu, Chun-Li, and Juri will be available for purchase.
The Thailand stage has made an appearance in a number of previous Street Fighter games, and it was there we first went up against M. Bison, "the evil dictator and head of Shadaloo, in Street Fighter II". Capcom flirted with the idea of a night-time, candle-lit version of the stage, but decided against it because they wanted to "stay true to the original stage as much as possible."
The stage will feature its intricate bell, statues, and its theme. The map rolls out on 25 April for 70,000 in-game Fight Money, or £3.11.
Three premium school costumes for Ryu, Chun-Li, and Juri will also be available on 25 April for £3.11 each. No word yet if the costumes will also be available in exchange for the in game currency.
Ryu’s costume look is based on a stereotypical Japanese Bancho, and it features a coat with its lining depicting a face-off between a Dragon and a Tiger.
Chun-Li’s costume "represents her as an Honor Roll student with only the highest standards for herself and always aiming to be top of her class."
And Juri’s costume makes everyone have embarrassing flashbacks to their "rebel" phase in high school, complete with black lipstick and nails.
