Liverpool-based developer Starlight Games has today announced House of Golf VR, the world's first mixed reality golf game, which will launch on October 30, 2025, for Meta Quest 2, 3, and 3S headsets. The game blends virtual reality and mixed reality, allowing players to transform their home into imaginative mini-golf courses.
Using passthrough MR technology, House of Golf VR enables players to set up holes across living rooms, kitchens, garages, gardens, or even office spaces. The experience isn’t limited to the real world either - players can also explore fully virtual environments packed with interactive puzzles, competitive tournaments, and hidden mystery boxes containing rare golf balls. The title features hundreds of course pieces, obstacles, and whimsical interactive items, including cranes, balloons, and custom hazards, offering creators near-endless ways to design and share their own golf challenges. Each course can be photographed, recorded, and uploaded to the community, encouraging players to showcase their creativity and discover new designs.
