There has been talk of Spyro the Dragon trilogy remaster back in February but the latest leaks all but confirm it. Namely, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is certainly coming to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the former launching in September.

To be fair, almost simultaneous leaks of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Spyro the Dragon's escapades can mean only one thing and we barely need Activision's or developer Toys for Bob's confirmation. Well, other than maybe an official launch date confirmation, which would be nice.

Initially, Mexican branch of the retailer Amazon and revealed the actual name, Spyro Reignited Trilogy. It also lists 21 September 2018 as the arrival date for the PS4 version. Not long after, Indian Amazon the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions with some info but no availability date .

The listing says Spyro Reignited Trilogy features the Spyro games reimagined in glorious HD. We're talking about Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, all touched up to fit into today's performance and graphics standards.

In fact, the listing says Spyro Trilogy will feature upwards of 100 levels, "remastered with breathtaking graphical updates and improved gameplay controls".

Even though PlayStation 4 box art is yet to be seen in the wild, Xbox One is already there and while it's nothing particularly breathtaking, at least we can see how it will look once it arrives. There are some screenshots as well to feast your eyes upon until the real thing arrives.

Even though Spyro the Dragon doesn't inspire nearly as many puns as the infamous Puff, it still didn't prevent the series from being a big hit on PlayStation consoles. In fact, so far games from Spyro series have sold upwards of 20 million, which is a pretty good track record for the little purple fellow.

We're yet to hear anything from Activision or Toys for Bob but at this point, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is way out of the speculation domain, meaning it's more a question of when than if.
