Spyro Reignited Trilogy's delay has been announced on 17 August 2018, but a new day brings new wonders. According to leaked information, the delay will allow developers have enough time to put all three games on disc, instead of just one.

Toys for Bob addressed Spyro the Dragon's fans via Activision's official blog in a statement that the remastered trilogy has been . The statement was preceded by the Toys for Bob's reasoning that the decision came because of their deep commitment to "getting these games right", as the company is "proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years".

Apparently, the studio didn't think the game would be delayed either, as Paul Yan the co-studio head stated he "really hoped that [players] would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner", but the delay turned out to be inevitable because "the Trilogy needs more love and care".

He ended the statement with a promise that in November, when players finally get their hands on the trilogy, they will "agree the extra time was worth the wait". You can read the official statement by Yan on Activision's blog .

Some fans have immediately speculated that the delay would mean retail copes of the remastered trilogy would have all three games on the same disc, but this was thought to not be the case as Activision that only the first game will be there, while the other two will require a download.

The video above surfaced one day later, on 18 August 2018, where YongYea claims an inside source has confirmed that all three games will indeed be on disc when it comes to retail copies.

According to YongYea's inside info, it was mainly Activision who has been pushing for September release, which was also the reason why the developers didn't have enough time to complete the third game.

They eventually settled on not putting all three games on disc in order to save development time, but after several meetings with Activision, Toys for Bob managed to persuade them to push the release to November 2018. This supposedly gave developers enough time to both release the games in proper shape as well as cram them all on the disc.
