Developers Ska Studios and Devoured Studios have presented extended gameplay footage for their upcoming Soulslike platformer Salt and Sacrifice, which is hitting PlayStation and PC next year.
Following a reveal at Summer Game Fest Kickoff by Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida, developers Ska Studios and Devoured Studios have released extended gameplay footage for the upcoming platformer Salt and Sacrifice.
In case you're not familiar with the game, Salt and Sacrifice is the next instalment in the million-plus selling souls like platformer Salt and Sanctuary series that launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
The game is developed by two guys - James Silva, who works on art, animation, music, coding, and level design and Shane Lynch, who developed the backbone of Salt and Sacrifice’s online play.
Anyway, the gameplay gives us a closer look at a newly-forged Marked Inquisitor hunt a deadly Pyromancer. "Witness the menagerie of monsters wandering Ashbourne Village. Observe Salt and Sacrifice’s brawler-style combat from the perspective of a Paladin, one of eight starting classes," it's written in the announcement.
Salt and Sacrifice will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC for USD $19.99. The release date is currently set for early 2022. Here is the game's official description:
"Salt and Sacrifice expands on the world of Salt and Sanctuary by exploring a new era and region, as well as a new role: a Marked Inquisitor. A Marked Inquisitor is a criminal condemned, yet spared the hand of justice in exchange for a lifetime of service in the unending war against Mages: twisted, irredeemable creatures of elemental malice. Mages roam the world, summoning minions and wreaking havoc. Hunting a Mage is a multistage pursuit in which your quarry is just as likely to clash with rival Mages as it is with you. "
