If you've been looking for a comfy night playing Apex Legends, Anthem, Battlefield V or whatever other EA game you may think of - you may want to switch 'providers', because Origin doesn't seem very receptive at the moment.
EAHelp's Twitter account posted the following, "We're aware of a problem currently impacting EA and EA Help services, so you may have trouble reaching us. We're working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and we'll keep you informed."
Unfortunately, it's been an hour since this has been posted, so it doesn't seem to be your ordinary server glitch or anything. We sure hope it's nothing overly serious, because there are a lot of disgruntled fans on there.
Anthem players can't get on with their grind, and personally I felt like jumping in for some mindless wreckage. It's just my luck that Apex Legends was my second pick, but there goes that, as the problem seems a bit deeper.
Not only could we not log onto origin, it first let us through with an 'offline' notification, then we were forced to relog to access our Origin library. Which, as you'd expect in this case, didn't work. Yeah, we're relentless with attempts, but no luck so far - we sure wish someone else has more luck.
It's especially unfortunate for Apex Legends players, who should be enjoying the game's new season, what with the introduction of Revenant and the new sniper Sentinel , which is by a now a quite fun and reliable shield killer. I can only imagine how deadly it is in the hands of a more skilled player than myself.
We'll keep you updated if anything changes in the meantime, but since neither we nor EA can promise any quick solution to whatever's their servers' ailment, we'd suggest you turn your gaming interests elsewhere.
