SEGA have announced that Sonic Mania Plus will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on 17 July 2018. This is the definitive edition of Sonic Mania and it's finally coming to European and North American markets.
Sonic Mania Plus can be preordered from select retailers, and SEGA released a trailer showcasing gameplay and the new characters Mighty and Ray. Sonic Mania was hailed as one of the best if not the best Sonic game in existence, delivering high speed actions and reasonable control schemes, unlike some of the later games in Sonic series.
Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel are characters that were present in previous Sonic games that are implemented in an attempt to refresh the players' views on familiar zones with their altered kits. The roster also includes Sonic (duh!) and Knuckles, but unfortunately, there is no indication of a Ugandan accent for the latter being added to the game.
Encore mode will also add new challenges and layouts that will supposedly surprise even the veteran players. Competition and Time Attack modes will be updated so up to four players can play simultaneously. Time Attack mode will have ghost challenges for time trials.
Players who have already purchased Sonic Mania on consoles or PC will be able to upgrade their edition instead of having to buy it all over again. The Encore DLC pack will be available at £3.99 or $4,99 on Steam and other select retailers, come 17 July 2018.
Aside from the digital version, SEGA will also be releasing a physical version that will cost ~£21 or $29,99 USD. It will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The physical version will include a 32 page collector's art book, a reversible SEGA Mega Drive cover and a holographic packaging.

Considering Sonic Mania is a 2D game. Knuckles will not have to ask people if they "know de wey", since the only way to go is to the right.
