SIE Bend Studio shared a new Days Gone video in which they showcase the game's post-apocalyptic open world and Deacon's bike. According to the devs, players will be able to customise and upgrade their rides to travel further on the map.

SIE Bend Studio's zombie action adventure is exactly two weeks away from its release and the devs are continuing to showcase various mechanics and features that will be crucial for surviving the post-apocalyptic world of Pacific Northwest.

Earlier this month, we got a first detailed look at the game's , as well as the full map. Today, Bend Studio have shared a new Discover Days Gone video in which they showcase the game's open world environment and all the dangers that come with it and the most important tool for surviving these dangers - Deacon's Bike.

Emmanuel Roth, Bend Studio's Senior Animator talked about the bike and what exactly players can expect from the vehicle. He said that the devs picked the bike as it was the best tool to traverse the broken roads in Days Gone.

Players will be able to level up their bike and improve it with various updates. For example, if you want to travel further on the map, first you'll have to make your gas tank bigger. You can also upgrade the bike's engine for higher speed and even change the colour and add stickers to create a unique look.

Roth also said that the devs adapted the terrain to the bike and vice versa to make it adapt better to the world. Apparently, players will also be able to have some fun with the vehicle by performing high jumps and various stunts but before you decide to go full daredevil, keep in mind that your bike is your best buddy in Days Gone.
