Croteam and Devolver Digital revealed that Serious Sam 4 is due for release in August 2020 through the initial teaser trailer which was followed by several gameplay and behind the scenes videos.
Serious Sam 4 is coming in August but the devs and the publisher didn't reveal the exact day of the game's arrival. Considering how the last one ended, it is highly likely the fans can barely hold their hype in since the future of Earth literally depends on Sam's prowess in beating Mental.
Until the release comes, however, the players will have several trailers to be occupied with. The first one, seen below, is the reveal trailer and is more cinematic in nature than the other videos.
Each video focuses on a different aspect of the game, has the same prefix and contains dev commentary. The full list of videos is as follows:
They are all pretty self-explanatory and touch on the subjects mentioned but the Legion System is something the fans have not had touch with yet. It is a system developed by Croteam that will apparently allow thousands and even hundreds of thousands of enemies to be on screen at the same time which sounds mindblowing. Then again, it sounds too good to be true so we'll believe it when we see it.
If you can't wait, now might be a good time dip into the nostalgia machine since all the previous Serious Sam games are on sale on Steam. Speaking of Gaben's platform, it is the only one where the game was announced besides Google Stadia.
