Rumour has it Silent Hill reboot is in development at Sony Japan Studio since 2019. Apparently, the game is already playable and Sony will show off the demo, soon after the game reveal.
Rumours about the next Silent Hill games have been floating around for quite some time now, despite Konami's statement that there is no Silent Hill game in development at the moment. However, reliable sources are still pretty confident that Sony Japan Studio are working on a reboot.
Dusk Golem, an insider who accurately revealed details about Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes claims that Silent Hill reboot has been in development since 2019 and will be PlayStation 5 exclusive with Keiichiro Toyama helming the project.
Once again, Dusk Golem reiterated that the new game is not a remake but a reboot. On top of this, the insider claims that Silent Hill reboot is already playable and has a demo that Sony plan to show off shortly after the official game reveal.
Fans of the franchise have been speculating that the reveal could be set for Sony's upcoming next-gen showcase event, which is scheduled for June 2020. The good thing is - we won't have to wait for too long to see if this was Sony's plan.
As always, you should take all this info with a grain of salt, just like any other leak, rumour or unconfirmed info despite Dusk Golem's credibility.
