According to the latest rumours, Microsoft and Sega are preparing a joint announcement pretty soon. Apparently, Sega are joining Xbox Game Studios and the reveal event was set for 14 June 2020 at E3.
Earlier this year, a rumour appeared online, suggesting that Microsoft have big plans for the Japanese market and would love to expand their Xbox Game Studios to the Land of the Rising Sun. As you may know, recently, Xbox and Microsoft announced that their popular subscription service Xbox Game Pass is coming to Japan tomorrow, 14 April 2020, which suggests that the rumours were indeed true and we are up for one big announcement.
This potential announcement could also include Sega. The beloved publisher and developer are joining Xbox Game Studios family according to a leaked E3 2020 ad.
As you can see in the image above, Sega's iconic logo can be seen next to Xbox Game Studios logo with "Power Your Dreams" slogan just below.
More importantly, there is 14 June 2020 date, meaning that this event has been set for E3 2020. Now, since the world's biggest gaming expo has been officially cancelled, this means that the slide is a bit old but if it is true, this means that Sega and Microsoft will host some sort of online event pretty soon.
There is also an interesting note on the slide: "Tune in for exclusive world premieres and more information from our newest creators at Xbox Game Studios"
Now since this is not an official slide, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt. It was initially leaked by Sega Bits , a Twitter account that shares news about Sega and their upcoming projects but the tweet has been deleted in the meantime.
