Hi-Rez added a pile of mechanised cosmetics, a new map and an assortment of quality of life updates with the start of Year Two for Rogue Company.
Rogue Company has kicked off Year Two with the first update that brings along a bunch of new content, mostly cosmetic in nature. Most of the cosmetics are awarded through the battle pass but this also marks the first battle pass that can be purchased for reputation, the earnable currency, as Rogue Bucks are no longer the only option.
Some of the highlights from the battle pass include new outfits for Vy, Chaac, Switchblade and The Fixer. Chaac's outfit is the Mech Fighter that is bound to garner some reactions, be it positive or negative ones but it will never stop being fun to see a mech in a firefight. Additionally, the new reactive weapon wrap, called Argent Assassin, has come around.
Everyone will also get access to Meltdown, the new map that was apparently an experimental geothermal power plant at some point. It is controlled by an AI and the lore says that the Jackal organisation is trying to corrupt it and initiate a self-destruct protocol while the Rogues are attempting to stop them.
Besides the cosmetics and the map, Rogue Company is introducing quality of life improvements, most notably for the HUD that should be clearer and provide more information now.
On top of everything else, this is the first ranked season that includes King of the Hill in the game mode rotation.
