Just like rumours suggested, the Suicide Squad game is real and it is developed by Rocksteady Studios. In the official teaser, the devs confirmed a full reveal on August 22, 2020, at DC FanDome event.
Rocksteady Studios have officially acknowledged heavily rumoured and speculated Suicide Squad game. The studio teased the title via their official Twitter with a simple artwork featuring Superman with a Suicide Squad logo.
On top of this, they also revealed that August 22, 2020, is the date where they will show more of the game. As you may know, DC FanDome is scheduled for August 22, where Warner Bros are also expected to give us a world premiere trailer for the next Batman game.
Anyway, Rocksteady's Suicide Squad game will, by the looks of it, feature Superman as one of the villains. This is not clear yet but judging by the artwork, it seems that this is the evil version of Superman, with red glowing eyes and his face.
Earlier rumours suggested that Suicide Squad will be games as a service title, similar to looter shooters like Destiny. This is just speculation at the moment and we will have to wait a couple of more weeks to hear more about the game.
Suicide Squad should be coming to next-generation consoles but a current-gen version is also possible. It depends on the release date but all in all, we should not have to wait for too long to hear more about this. DC FanDome is just around the corner.
