PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds could soon introduce a fresh batch of new weapons and items. One of these new additions is the Riot Shield, which was teased last year by PUBG creator Brendan Greene.
The developer PUBG Corp. have been regularly introducing new content to their battle royale, keeping it fresh for millions of players who are enjoying themselves while hunting for the chicken dinner. New weapons, maps and more are just some of the new content that players are getting and as expected, the devs won't stop with regular updates anytime soon.
According to the latest leak, a lot of new items could arrive to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds pretty soon, including the Riot Shield which is being tested at the moment, along with many other features. In his latest video, a well known PUBG YouTuber and data miner PlayerIGN talked about the new content which is scheduled to drop in late 2019 and early 2020. Here's the breakdown of his info:
- New Weapons:
- FN P90 SMG
- Famas Assault Rifle
- HK G3 Assault Rifle/DMR
- Game Modes:
- Team Deathmatch
- 2 or 3 Team Deathmatch maps
- Offline Zombie Training mode
- Story Mode (prequel to the current Erangel)
- Riot Shield
- Ranked and clan system
- New movement/animation system
As you can see from the list, PUBG Corp have a lot of new stuff down in the pipeline but we're still to get an official confirmation from the devs so take these with a grain of salt just like any other rumour, leak or unconfirmed info.
PlayerIGN also claims that some features have been checked off such as the Miramar map and shotgun and that the team deathmatch mode won't be coming anytime soon since the devs are still working on it.
