LCS Scouting Grounds 2021 was initially announced in July of the same year but some key information was not available until November 3, 2021, when Riot revealed the roster and everything else you might need to know.
First of all, the 20 participating players are:
- Top - Gamsu, PCL, Concept X, Dragoon
- Jungle - Chad, Winston, Perry, eXyu
- Mid - Bradley, APA, 5Fire, Strompest
- ADC - Array, Wixxi, Kyle, Good Boi
- Support - Daption, Wintery, Breezyyy, Qitong
These players will be competing from November 7 to 13, 2021, in an attempt to shine a spotlight on themselves and eventually have a go at getting drafting to the LCS.
While some of the participants are bona fide rookies, others are actually veterans of the game, like Gamsu, who has competed under the colours of some of the most well-known organisations in the LoL esports scene, including Fnatic, Dignitas and Samsung Blue.
Scouting Grounds 2021 was meant to be an offline event but that will not be possible due to the risks imposed by the Covid-19 Delta variant. Furthermore, only the final day of games will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch but it is still bound to provide the fans with a lot of entertainment.
Unlike in the previous years, the players will be able to explore their options without additional pressure and these prospects will have a better chance to integrate into the transfer season.
