PC community has already made several mods for the demo version of Resident Evil Village and you can bet that some of them are as weird as it gets - one of them replaces regular enemies with purple dinosaur Barney.
Resident Evil Village demo is now live on PC via Steam, offering two different playthroughs, with the first one taking you to the snowy village while the second one taking place in the eerie Castle Dimitrescu.
As with previous Resident Evil games, Village is also a mod-friendly title, meaning that some mods have already been created by the modding community. One mod, in particular, is making rounds on social media and gaming forums.
It's the good old Barney the Dinosaur mod which replaces every single enemy model in the Castle Demo with the purple dino from Barney and Friends TV show. You can check out the mod in action in the gameplay video below:
The mod is currently available only to patrons of modder Marcos RC . There's also a couple of other interesting mods on the Patreon page including the one that replaces Duke with Resident Evil 4 merchant.
It's safe to expect that this and plenty of similar mods will be available for free once Resident Evil Village launches. It will certainly be interesting to see the creativity of the modding community in the coming weeks and months.
Resident Evil Village is officially hitting the shelves on May 7, 2021, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
